Description

A refreshing, immune-boosting drink made with fresh lemon, ginger, honey, and spices, inspired by a time-tested family recipe.


Ingredients

  • 2 large lemons, freshly squeezed
  • 23 tablespoons raw honey (adjust for sweetness)
  • 12 inches of fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups water
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves, a pinch of sea salt, ice

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the lemon juice into a pitcher, removing any seeds.
  2. Add raw honey and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Grate fresh ginger into the pitcher and add the cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon.
  4. Pour 4 cups of water into the mixture, using warm water for a soothing drink or cold water for a refreshing version.
  5. Stir well and let it sit for 15-20 minutes to infuse.
  6. Serve over ice if desired, garnished with fresh mint leaves.
  7. Store leftovers in the fridge for 2-3 days.

Notes
